How do you cope stress?

A     : Are you still working now?

B     : Yes, I might work over time again.

A     : Why don’t you try to be free and enjoy your  life?

B     : I wish I could. But there is much work at the office. I work under pressure as well.

A     : Do you do it by yourself or with your colleagues?

B     : All by myself. It’s tiring and stressfull. I’m still thinking about how to ease my mind after

working hard. How do you cope stress?

A     : According to the book I’ve read, we should try to enjoy our job. And set  time to relax

every weekend. Do something fun for ourselves, forget about job for a moment to refresh

our mind.

B     : How many hours do we need for sleeping a day?

A     : Eight hours per day is enough. And live healthily. Do exercise regularly.

B     : I hate doing sport.

A     : You can walk, or just run to stay healhty. It’s good for us. And always think positively,

forgive anyone who hurts you.  Simple right?

B     : Well, thank you for your advice

I need it to discuss our new project

A     : Have you done your yesterday’s daily report?

B     : No, I haven’t. I had to attend the seminar all day long yesterday. I’ll do it right now.

A     : Why didn’t you ask your co-worker to do it yesterday?

B     : They were all busy yesterday.

A     : Well, can you make it before 11 today? I need it to discuss our new project.

B     : Yes sir, I will. What else should I prepare?

A     : We are going to hold a general meeting tomorrow morning at 7 am. Can you go home late

today? We need to prepare all of the reports. And you must make them in power point.

B     : No problem Sir, I will be ready for that.

A     : Please inform all of the managers to join the meeting tomorrow.

B     : Should I type the agenda for the meeting too?

A     : Oh yes, I almost forget. Please type it, then copy it to 15, and distribute them to all

department managers.

B     : Surely.

A             : Have you ever fallen in love?

B             : I first felt in love when I was in High school.

A             : How was your feeling?

B             : I was extremely happy whenever she was around me. And I got nervous frequently for no

reasons.

A             : How did you express feeling of jealousy?

B             : I kept silent when I was jealous. But I couldn’t stand for long time.

A             :Did you experience puppy love?

B             : I experienced it when I was in 6th grade of elementary school.

A             : What advantages did you get from your lover?

B             : I always got support in my study from my lover.

A             : Do you still keep in touch with her?

B             : No I don’t .

Why does she suddenly get married?

A         : Tomorrow is Nita’s wedding feast, our friend when we were in Senior High School. She invited all of us to her wedding Feast.

B         : Nita? She will get married? I think she lives abroad. Why does she suddenly get married?

A         : I don’t know. But yesterday her sister came to my house and told me about that.

B         : She didn’t like me when we were in Senior High School but why does she invite me now?

A         : May be she has forgotten the problem between you when you were in Senior High School. Now we have grown up so we know which one is right or not. Last time was the past and now we should see the future. Will you come?

B         : I couldn’t decide yet.

A         : Come on. She is our friend. We should be there on her wedding feast.

B         : When will her wedding feast be held?

A         : 2 more days in Grand Hyatt Hotel.

B         : All right, I’ll go with you.

A         : Hmm I’m sorry but I’ll go there with my boyfriend. So you should go there with your boyfriend too.

B         : You know that I don’t have a boyfriend. I don’t know whom I will go there with.

A         : I’ve thought about it. How if you go with Mike?

B         : What?

A         : Mike, our funniest friend.

What would you like to order?

A     : Good evening Sir, have a seat, please!

B     : Thank you. I want to have dinner.

A     : Yes please. Here is the menu. What would you like to order?

B     : I want to taste all of traditional foods here while I’m on holiday. Can you tell me about this

dish?

A     : It’s called Gado-gado. It’s Indonesian vegetable salad served with peanut sauce.

B     : What are in there?

A     : They are potatoes, bean sprouts, lettuce, cucumber, some tofu, egg and rice cake.

B     : Hmmm I never taste it before. What about the sauce?

A     : The sauce is made of peanut, palm sugar, shrimp paste, chili and some other ingredients with

water.

B     : Sounds good. I want it! And,…a glass of iced tea, please.

A     : Surely Sir, please wait for a moment

Excuse me Sir, Here is your fish. How about this one?

A     : Excuse me, waiter!

B     : Yes Sir, how may I help you?

A     : I think there is something about my order. My fish has a good seasoning, but it’s a little dry.

I don’t really enjoy it. Can you give me another one?

B     : Oh I’m so sorry about that. I think I should let the cook know about this meal. Would you

please just wait for a moment?

A     : Okay.       ———A few minutes later———–

B     : Excuse me Sir, Here is your fish. How about this one?

A     : Well, this is just exactly what I want. Can you also give me roast crab with mushroom…. and

some chips, please?

B     : Surely. Would you have more drinks,  Sir?

A     : No thanks, that’s enough.

B     : Do I have to pay the first fish?

A     : I don’t think so Sir, I do apologize. That was our mistake.

B     : That’s fair. Thank you

A     : Do you plan your  personal financial?

B     : Do you mean saving money?

A     : Yes it can be.

B     : Hmm…I spend all of my money for living cost. But I also set aside for insurance.

A     : What insurance do you buy?

B     : Personal accident insurance.

A     : Is it important to buy a personal accident insurance?

B     : I think so for me, since I work as a taxi driver, so I have more risks for an accident.

A     : I see. How much is the premium?

B     : I must pay Rp. 200.000,- monthly.

A     : Do you trust the insurance company?

B     : Yes Ido. Some of my relatives got their compensation when they got accident.

A     : Is it complicated to settle the claim?

B     : As long as you complete all of the documents needed, I think the insurance will pay you.

A     : Good morning, how may I help you?

B     : Good morning, I need to cash this money.

A     : Certainly Ma’am, Could you please fill in this form?

B     : Sure. Where should I give my signature?

A     : In this box, please. Do you bring ID card and your saving account book?

B     : Yes I do. Would you like to see them?

Conversation Between Strangers

Scene:  Outside of a pub.  Nighttime.

*A woman is smoking a cigarette, standing on the curb by herself.  A man walks out of the pub and stands next two her*

*The man glances over at her and slightly leans in*

Man:  You know, smoking is bad for you (Woman turns her head while he is saying this and is still inhaling from her cigarette)

Woman: Really?

*The woman exhales smoke*

Woman: Well, Melanomas are a killer,  you should really get that thing on your neck checked out.

Man:  Oh (Touching the large mole on his neck)

Man:  I just saw this thing on TV that breast cancer can strike any woman at any time so it's best to get check ups.

Woman:  Well one of the things that guys overlook is their Prostate.  Are you getting to the bottom of that?

Man:  Why is that a offer?

*The Man and Woman look at each other and give a smile, then quickly look in the opposite directions*

Woman:  So!  What brings you out here in the middle of the night?

Man:  I just needed to get some fresh air before heading back inside.

Woman:  Well isn't that Ironic.

Man:  What is?

Woman:  Getting outside for some fresh air, and standing next to the only person who is smoking?

*They turn to look at each other again and smile*
